The Cyprus property market sustained its upward momentum in August 2026. According to official figures released by the Department of Lands and Surveys (DLS), the island recorded 1,241 sale contracts deposited during August—a 10% year-over-year increase compared to August 2025.

Despite August traditionally being a slower month due to the summer holiday season, cumulative performance for the first eight months of the year (January–August 2026) reached 13,288 contracts, representing a 13.7% surge compared to the same period in 2025.

  1. Larnaca Outperforms All Districts: Larnaca delivered the strongest monthly move in August with a 35.3% surge in sales contracts. Competitive price points and ongoing infrastructure developments continue to attract strong investor interest.

  2. Paphos Leads YTD Percentage Growth: Paphos added nearly 20% in August and now leads the island in overall year-to-date growth at +19.7%. International demand remains particularly high in Paphos, where overseas buyers account for nearly 70% of total transactions.
